2023 Money in the Bank Predictions

Tomorrow is WWE Money in the Bank, and it has become one of the more important shows for WWE’s calendar in recent years. This MITB (Money in the Bank) is special because it’s happening in London, England for the first time where that passionate UK crowd will be absolutely up for the show. A lot of possible surprises can happen at this PPV/PLE so here are my predictions for the big card and I’ll start with the money in the bank ladder matches first.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Logan Paul vs. Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Damian Priest vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch vs. LA Knight

Depending on where this match is on the card will be pivotal for the night unfolds and be a little telling about what is next going into Summerslam. As much as I am a passionate Shinsuke Nakamura fan and enjoying LA Knight’s rise, there is a possibility that this match could end with a riot if Paul wins. Now Paul won’t disappoint us with some exciting moments during the match hopefully against Ricochet, but I think the momentum behind Knight is too much to ignore and he wins the match making the road to a potential cash-in very fun.

Prediction- LA Knight wins

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus vs. Zoey Stark vs. Zelina Vega vs. IYO SKY vs. Bayley

This year’s women’s MITB is honestly a tough one to call, the favorite is Lynch especially where it is makes sense, but Lynch doesn’t need the briefcase to get back into the title picture quickly, so the man of the masses isn’t the choice. Zelina is good underdog in the match but maybe its not her time just yet to challenge either champion Askua or Rhea Ripley.

Now as much as I love Bayley this probably is where Damage CTRL breaks up in this match with Bayley and Sky being at odds throughout the match about who should win. So, in this case I went against heart and with the help of Zoey Stark, Trish Stratus wins her first Money in the Bank and possibly cash- in on Ripley sometime soon.

Prediction- Trish Stratus win with some assistance from Zoey Stark

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs. The Usos

The Bloodline Civil War happens here with the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa take on family in the form of the recently defected Usos, who after years of abuse had enough of it and are determined to bring Reigns down. Being one of the storylines in recent memory you hope this isn’t the end but maybe lead to a big 4-way match with all Bloodline members possibly for the undisputed championship.

In order for that to be possible the Usos have to pull the upset by defeating Reigns and Sikoa maybe an accidental spike creates the opportunity for while creating some doubt in Reigns about the remaining parts of the Bloodline.

Prediction- The Usos

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (C) vs. Finn Balor

Talking about things coming full circle, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins face off again for a new title of sorts. Rollins has been on tear defending this championship anytime and anywhere including NXT on this wave popularity that’s happening recently. On the flip side Finn Balor has quietly built up some steam along with his Judgement Day members heading into tomorrow’s match.

With this match I can not go against my heart/gut, so I think the unexpected happens in this match where Finn Balor upsets Rollins to become the new world heavyweight champion bringing more gold to the Judgement Day with a homecoming victory. But that’s not the end of it something else will happen hopefully with Drew McIntyre returning and making a statement after the match and right back in the title picture.

Prediction- Finn Balor wins but McIntyre attacks post-match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (C) vs. Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan

This will be quick as the champions Rousey and Baszler win this match in convincing fashion and hopefully continue their plan to bring up the women’s tag division, hopefully this is where Rodriguez has enough of Morgan and turns on her starting her own new path to challenge for one of the women’s championships.

Prediction- Rousey and Baszler retain championship.

Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio

A good ole one on one match takes place here with Cody Rhodes and his adversity to get another championship match continues against the highly hated Dominik Mysterio. Obviously people are expecting Rhodes to win this match easily, but I don’t see that. I am all for the Rhodes story but expect either some help Mami Rhea Ripley or the Beast comes across the pond with a surprise appearance from Brock Lesnar costing Rhodes the match and Mysterio gets a shocking victory because of it.

Prediction- Domink Mysterio with some outside help.

Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER vs. Matt Riddle

And we end with a rather quick sum up with the Intercontinental championship where GUNTHER will dispatch Matt Riddle easily continuing to restore the prestige of the championship.
