2023 WWE Backlash Predictions
May 6, 2023Tonight, is WWE Backlash live from San Juan, Puerto Rico! The first PLE post WrestleMania 39 the energy down is electric for the first WWE show there since January 2005 for New Year’s Revolution. Hopefully tonight will be a fun show so here are my predictions for the event.
- Omos def. Seth Rollins *Upset alert* (Omos wins with some interference but finally gets a win)

- Rhea Ripley def. Zelina Vega keeping the Smackdown Women’s championship, the crowd will be loud for Vega, but Mami will leave champion.

- Austin Theory def. Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed to keep the United States championship, going to Smackdown with some momentum.

- Bianca Belair def. Iyo Sky to keep the Raw Women’s championship, Bayley may interject herself in the match costing Sky the match and more strain with Damage CTRL.

- Bad Bunny def. Damian Priest in the San Juan Street Fight. Perhaps this will close the show, but this is going to be a fun match, expect the Judgement Day and newly formed LWO to show up during the match but Priest will be great in defeat as the hometown megastar Bad Bunny wins the fight.

- Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle def. The Bloodline (The Usos and Solo Sikoa), the question of can the Usos and Solo coexist will be the theme of this match and what may happen afterwards. As much as the Usos need this win to stay in the good graces of Roman Reigns and Solo, a miscue will occur that gives Zayn, Owens and Riddle the opening needed to win the match causing more tension with the dominant family going forward.

- No Contest between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. This prediction I hope I’m wrong but if this is the beginning of something to happen over a couple of PLEs then Lesnar cannot beat Rhodes straight up, Rhodes is on a journey to conquer the impossible to get another shot at Reigns and finish his story so if Rhodes doesn’t win tonight, I’m expecting this to be a no contest keeping this feud going until the PLE possibly.
