WrestleMania 42 Night 2 Predictions
April 19, 2026Night 1 is done. Now we close it out. Night 2 carries the heavier card, and with a main event that’s been years in the making, Sunday night in Vegas should deliver from top to bottom. Here are my predictions.
ESPN Featured Hour
Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio
Pick: Je’Von Evans

Ladder matches at WrestleMania are basically controlled chaos, and this one should be no different. Expect highlight-reel insanity from Penta, Dragon Lee, and JD McDonagh. Those three alone will give us the spots of the night. But when it’s all said and done, I’m going with the Young OG, Je’Von Evans. This feels like a WrestleMania moment waiting to happen, and his first championship win would hit perfectly right here.
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
Pick: Oba Femi

This feels almost too obvious and in wrestling, that usually means something stupid could happen. I’m sticking with it anyway. Oba Femi should win, and it should be decisive. A quick, dominant victory over Brock Lesnar would instantly cement him as the next big thing. Anything less feels like a missed opportunity.
United States Championship Match
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams
Pick: Trick Williams

This should be a solid match and a real test for Trick Williams. Sami Zayn is as reliable as it gets in that ring absolute gold. But this feels like the moment to pull the trigger. Give me Trick and the Lemon Peppa Steppas to walk out as the new United States Champion.
“The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio
Pick: Demon Bálor

Dominik asked for this. Now he gets it. The return of The Demon at WrestleMania should bring things back to that original NXT aura and if that version shows up, there’s no reason he doesn’t walk out with the W.
WWE Women’s Championship Match
Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
Pick: Jade Cargill

This one came down to the wire. The star power is undeniable, but the real question is whether the match itself delivers. This is the ultimate test for Jade Cargill on a stage this grand. Rhea Ripley is already proven and would be a dominant champion on SmackDown. But I’m rolling the dice. Cargill retains in what should be a powerhouse performance, and if she delivers, her ceiling just got a lot higher.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns
Pick: CM Punk
The main event of Night 2 and probably the biggest match of the entire weekend. There are too many layers, too many storylines, and too much history between these two for it not to deliver. This is one of those rare cases where no matter who walks out of Vegas as champion, we the fans win.

That said, Roman Reigns’ past has a way of catching up with him. Whether it’s his tyrannical run or the ever-present shadow of his Wise Man, something feels off. Paul Heyman looms large over this match, and I think he plays the deciding role. Look for Heyman to make amends with Punk, helping him retain and officially kick off what should be a long-term rivalry.
It doesn’t feel entirely clean, but Punk leaves WrestleMania 42 in a much better place than he did last year.
