2025 Royal Rumble Predictions

2025 Royal Rumble Predictions

February 1, 2025 0 By Right Hook Ray

Tomorrow night is the Royal Rumble, and it officially starts our road to Wrestlemania. This year’s Rumble certainly feels like a huge deal with the abundance of star power in both battle royals. The card for tomorrow night is simple with some potentially good matches, so here are my predictions for the big event in Indianapolis tomorrow.

2 out of 3 falls for the WWE Tag Team Championship: #DIY (Champions) vs. Motor City Machine Guns

Winner: MCMG #AndNew

This match is not only a vote of confidence in the dormant tag division but hopefully will be the match that will finally make tag teams meaningful again. Both teams are great examples to believe in tag team wrestling in WWE again, hopefully they will consolidate the tag titles on both shows to just one set of titles where they can be on either show to promote the revival of this division (Man I feel bad for FTR not being back in WWE). So, I think MCMG will win this match and regain the titles in hopefully a very good match.

Undisputed WWE Championship Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes (Champion) vs. Kevin Owens (“Champion”)

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens finally will face off to decide who the real WWE champion is with Wrestlemania on the horizon. While the feud has been a little hot and cold, Owens has certainly reestablished himself as one of the best bad guys in the business in this feud. I think it’s a safe bet the winner of the men’s royal rumble will be challenging the winner of this match, so as much as I want to pick the upset with Owens winning but I decided to go the safe route and will pick Rhodes to win the match and hopefully make the vintage winged eagle championship the new title.

Women’s Royal Rumble

Iron Woman: Liv Morgan

Most Eliminations: Jordynne Grace

Surprise Entrants: Jordynne Grace, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, Asuka, Mickie James, AJ Lee (Yes, you read that correctly)

The Last Four: Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair

Winner: Bianca Belair

This year’s women’s rumble is the most unpredictable one to date, with a returning Charlotte Flair just makes this rumble more high stakes and chaotic. If Roxanne Perez makes an appearance then expect her to eliminate Bayley or they eliminate each other, Jordynne Grace makes a big statement to start her time with WWE hopefully, but I’m going with the EST to win and challenge Rhea Ripley for the big mega match many have been waiting for. Unless a particular Storm arrives to cost Belair the match.

Men’s Royal Rumble

Iron Man: Sami Zayn

Most Eliminations: Jacob Fatu

Surprise Entrants: Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, AJ Styles, Big E, Nic Nemeth, Malakai/Aleister Black

The Last Four: CM Punk, Sami Zayn, John Cena, and Drew McIntyre

Winner: CM Punk

Now to the most difficult prediction of the event, the men’s rumble match. This is going to be a star-studded rumble where there really isn’t a lot of bad choices for who wins this year. I expect to see Pat McAfee and Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton to be entrants because it’s Indianapolis, the crowd will explode if Trick Williams and/or Joe Hendry are in the match, while I won’t dismiss the Logan Paul factor being a possibility but also wouldn’t be surprised if a certain final boss finds his way into the Rumble as well.

Roman Reigns goal to win the rumble probably won’t happen because one of the many enemies that are in the match, the sentimental choice of John Cena doing the unthinkable is very possible but perhaps a foe from Cena’s past will take that moment away from the legend. Also, that particular favor Paul Heyman will be called in for Punk to be #30 to give him the best shot at winning, which will lead to him being one of the last four and luck will be on his side where he wins his first Royal Rumble, makes his dream to main event Wrestlemania a reality.
