The Summer ahead for Wrestling

The Summer ahead for Wrestling

This summer could be an interesting one for Wrestling, with Summerslam in a couple of weeks and AEW’s road to All Out leaves us wondering what is to come next for either promotion/brands so here are a couple of things that could happen this summer.

The Summer of Theory- With Theory winning money in the bank recently opens the door for some shaking up when it comes to the WWE Undisputed Universal championship, will they break the titles up? Is Theory ready to be the Undisputed Universal champion? With Theory calling his shot that there will be potential cash in at Summerslam could jump start the inevitable rise of Theory.

Who is next for Jon Moxley- With Moxley being the interim AEW world champion and no added information on CM Punk return has left a void of sorts when it comes to Moxley and his new reign. Moxley can hold down the fort until Punk returns obviously and would be a long-awaited match up too but as far as All Out goes expect Moxley to defend the title against either Jericho or would be a pleasant surprise if it is a returning MJF.

What is next for Roman Reigns- Continuing the what’s next question but with our tribal chief Roman Reigns, who is the Undisputed Universal champion slowly transitioning to part time schedule leaves us with the question what happens to title or titles? With the last man standing match at Summerslam with Brock Lesnar coming up and the potential cash in from Theory could be start of Reigns dropping one or both championships. Defeating Reigns at this stage of his career would be great whoever does it but who is ready for that moment?

AEW Tag Team Division- With new champions crowned Wednesday with Swerve in our Glory (Came up with that name first just saying) now leaves the question of where is FTR in all of this? With the best tag team currently collecting championships and having a must see, highly anticipated rematch with the Briscoes for the ROH tag team titles at Death before Dishonor PPV will we get a FTR vs. Swerve with our Glory match? Hopefully at All Out we will get some kind of interaction between them to set up something in the near future, but the AEW Tag Team division is absolutely buzzing and hopefully stays on track.

Vince McMahon- Last but not least is Vince McMahon, who is currently under the microscope with some intense allegations that could potentially take him out of power in WWE. With the two wall street journal articles and the perception of there is more could lead to some especially important and dynamic changes in the world of WWE and Wrestling if McMahon is pushed out of power from his empire.
