It has been a little bit since the last entry but long story short the injury bug has hit wrestling hard like Stan Hansen’s Lariat, VKM has a brewing situation that change the landscape of WWE, however there is a special PPV tonight! AEW is presenting the Forbidden Door collaboration with NJPW tonight in Chicago. Should be a decent show and here are my predictions for tonight’s matches.

Interim AEW World Championship

The injury to CM Punk created the dream match opportunity to come true tonight, Jon Moxley representing AEW will the ACE of NJPW Hiroshi Tanahashi for the interim title. This is a match fans have been waiting for and should disappoint, I am going to for a surprise and say Tanahashi upsets Moxley to become the interim champion and down the road give us the original match up of him vs. Punk to decide to true AEW world champion.

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

This four way is interesting as champion Jay White (NJPW) versus Adam Cole (BAY BAY) (AEW) versus Hangman Adam Page (AEW) versus a happy surprise former IWGP world heavyweight champion Kazuchika Okada. This match should blow the roof of the United Center, but I do not know who leaves as champion, so I am going with my gut and saying Okada makes a long-awaited return to America and regains his title.

AEW Women’s Championship

The only match on the show that’s not dual promotions is this one, champion Thunder Rosa defends her title against Toni Storm, Rosa’s reign has not been the best so far, but this match could revive the run. As much as a Storm upset would be cool tonight expect Thunder Rosa to come out on top and hopefully lead us down the road to battle between her and TBS champion Jade Cargill.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship

We have a four way for crown a brand new AEW All Atlantic champion. Miro vs. Malakai Black vs. PAC vs. Clark Connors (replacing NJPW winner Tomohiro Ishii due to injury) should be solid, I’ve bounce back and forth on this and landed on my original stance and that’s Miro the Redeemer wins the All-Atlantic title.

Winner Take All (ROH & IWGP Tag Team Championships)

This triple threat tag match is going to be good for tag team wrestling as FTR(ROH Champs) vs. United Empire(NJPW Champs) vs. Roppongi Vice (AEW/NJPW) fight for the gold, this is simple one despite us seeing the awesomeness of Jeff Cobb expect FTR to walk out with more gold and win more titles tonight on the quest to get all the tag team gold possible.
