2025 Clash in Paris Predictions

2025 Clash in Paris Predictions

August 31, 2025 0 By Right Hook Ray

It’s been a little blahzay this month with wrestling over here on ringside, pretty copy and paste stuff with the exception of Karrion Kross which was answer recently with him and Scarlett appearing on good ole GCW which is whatever but a part of me still feels this is some sort of work but if it’s not hopefully Kross does more stuff Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport instead of GCW because he’s better than that in my opinion.

AEW’s Forbidden Door happened in London and again was basically another AEW PPV where a good match between Swerve & Okada was sandwiched between some show sinker matches particularly the 10 man garbage mess in a cage which was yet another self-inflicted and self-indulgent match, while NXT Heatwave was a fun show where I may come around to the Je’Von Evans hype machine but Oba Femi is still the ruler and face of NXT until there is a draft hopefully.

With that quick catch up out the way, this afternoon is WWE’s Clash in Paris where I expect that French crowd to be incredible it was last year. John Cena makes his last appearance in France that should make the show more exciting along with the rest of the card that looks pretty good, so here are my predictions for this afternoon’s show which again God I love wrestling shows during the day especially on a Holiday weekend!

Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match: Sheamus vs. Rusev

Sheamus versus Rusev in what will be a street fight should deliver as far as it being the hard-hitting, physical brawl type of match on the show with two best options. While Rusev’s return has not been what I hoped for, but he is having a match on an international PLE/PPV show is hopeful which is why I am taking Rusev to beat Sheamus in this good ol’ hoss fight.

Winner: Rusev

WWE Tag Team Championship: Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis (Champions) vs. The Street Profits

The Street Profits earned an opportunity at the WWE tag team titles facing Gacy and Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks where this promising division is showcased again on big stage. While the Wyatt Sicks, run has been underwhelming since their return, them as champions of this revived tag division have been fun where something has to happen or give today when it comes to the Profits.

As much as I don’t want Ford and Dawkins to break up, if it happens then it’s about time but I don’t think that is happening yet especially today where I am picking the Profits to beat Gacy and Lumis to become the new tag champs for the blue brand.

Winner: Street Profits win #AndNew

Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed

The Tribal Chief today in Paris faces the Tribal Thief, as Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed square off. This match being over Reed stealing Reigns’ sneakers throughout the weeks is a reach, but this match may exceed many fans’ expectations. Reigns being in something not involving the world title is promising and while I want to pick the upset here with Bronson Reed, I can not and will not go against the OTC1 so I have Reigns beating Reed today and hopefully it leads us to showdown with the other Bron in Bron Breakker.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (Champion) vs. Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella gets a shot at one of the women’s titles today against the women’s IC champion Becky Lynch. I feel that Naomi relinquishing her title called for a pivot here where it should be a match involving Stephanie Vaquer, but this match is a fine replacement. Lynch recently won the title, but I am calling for an upset here and say for the international crowd Nikki Bella surprises Lynch and wins the Women’s Intercontinental title.

Winner: Nikki Bella wins #UpsetOfTheDay #AndNew

John Cena vs. Logan Paul

Now for one of the two main event matches happening today, Logan Paul gets to face John Cena whose retirement tour is closer than a lot of us think. Cena has absolutely roasted Paul on the mic by telling us the truth about once popular influencer turned wrestler.

As far as the match goes it will be fine, where Paul will probably do something viral and hold his own against the last real champion. But John Cena will have another impressive performance and defeat Paul, humbling him while giving Paul respect at end but will we have a Beast sighting in Paris today? I think so where stuff can finally be laid out what is to come behind Cena and Lesnar as 2025 and Cena’s last run ends.

Winner: John Cena

Fatal 4-Way World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (Champion) vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso vs. CM Punk

Now for the other main event where the visionary Seth Rollins defends the world heavyweight title against LA Knight (YEAH!), Jey Uso (YEET), and CM Punk in a four way. Rollins after pulling another heist of the century at Summerslam is facing incredible odds of retaining the title in this match, then Knight and Uso are determined to be the champion while the Punk and Rollins rivalry somehow kicked up a notch.

The logical side of my mind says to bet on Rollins retaining thanks to some assistance from Bron Breakker today, but this alliance or faction has felt like WWE’s equivalent of the Death Riders to me where it hasn’t been as expected which is why I am going with my heart and gut here picking a new champion but who will that be? All three challengers would be great champions on Monday Nights, but I will go with Jey Uso to come out victorious thanks to Punk and Rollins taking themselves out of the end of this match where Jey catches Knight off guard to win the match and regains the world heavyweight title in Paris.

Winner: Jey Uso wins #Yeet
