Summerslam Night 2 Predictions
August 3, 2025Night one of Summerslam did not disappoint certainly setting a tone for tonight to close this weekend out. In my predictions I went four out of six not bad, hopefully that consistency remains with night two’s card so here are my predictions for tonight capping off Summerslam weekend.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (Champion) vs. Lyra Valkyria
The Man comes into tonight feeling good after last night’s surprise ending for the World Heavyweight title, but her opponent and protégé Lyra Valkyria may end up ruining her night and weekend overall. I want to pick Lyra to win back the title, but I think Bayley will make an appearance and stun us all by attacking Valkyria costing her the match while potentially teaming up with Lynch to be a women’s power trip duo on Monday nights.
Winner: Becky Lynch

WWE Tag Team Championship TLC Match: The Wyatt Sicks (Champions) vs. D.I.Y. vs. Street Profits vs. Fraxiom vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Rey Fenix and Andrade
FINALLY, THE WWE TAG TEAM TITLES ARE GETTING A SHOWCASE ON BIG SHOW! The tag team division has had some resurgence on Friday nights, and the teams involved in this TLC match will potentially deliver a match of the night, weekend, or better. I am so excited for these teams to be on a big stage despite the car crash nature of this kind of match, I wanted to go with the upset by picking Fraxiom to make a statement on the main roster but, I decided to pick the Wyatt Sicks to retain the titles and have a big moment on a PPV/PLE since debuting about a year ago. Also, we should expect some amazing highlights or moments from Rey Fenix, Andrade, Fraxiom and Montez Ford that will have the crowd going insane throughout this match for sure.

Winner: The Wyatt Sicks
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (Champion) vs. AJ Styles
Dirty Dom defends his IC title tonight against the Phenomenal AJ Styles who has been a thorn in the Judgement Day’s side lately. While Dirty Dom’s title reign has not been ideal this match can correct that, but could this be the big break up of the Judgement Day at another Summerslam? Finn Balor cost Damien Priest the title last year in Cleveland and I feel like it will be déjà vu except Balor and JD will cost Mysterio the IC title and Styles wins the match and championship where he can attempt to make it the work horse title again with some incredible potential matches.
Winner: AJ Styles #AndNew

United States Championship (Steel Cage Match): Solo Sikoa (Champion) vs. Jacob Fatu
The beef between Solo and Jacob will continue tonight for the US title but in a steel cage. Solo and his family have done well protecting the title, but Fatu has continued to challenge them and could regain the US title. While Solo added Talla Tonga to the family I expect the return of Tama Tonga tonight where he comes to aid of Jacob Fatu only to turn on him and join up with Solo and the family strengthen the group as much as I hate writing that.
Winner: Solo Sikoa

Women’s World Championship: Naomi (Champion) vs. Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley
Now to the match that is impossible to pick as well as being another match of the night/ weekend candidate, as new champion Naomi defends the women’s world championship against overwhelming fan favorites Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. The crowd is going to be insane for this match because these ladies always deliver some amazing matches (just go back to WWE Evolution 2 last month), this was a difficult one to pick but I decided to go the logical route and go with Naomi to retain the title because Sky and Ripley will get into it and Naomi takes advantage of the situation.
Winner: Naomi

Undisputed WWE Championship (Street Fight): John Cena (Champion) vs. Cody Rhodes
And now to the main event to close this weekend out, as John Cena who has been redeemed by fans on Friday night defends the undisputed championship against Cody Rhodes who looks to win it back. A street fight involving two very beloved fan favorites is an interesting twist here, but I predict that night two of Summerslam seems to be heavy on stipulation matches but will be heavy on twist and turns.

The match will not be the equivalent to Punk and Gunther from last night but the possibility of the Final Boss appearing and the unthinkable happens with Cody selling his soul and aligning with The Rock and win the title is looming tonight, I will go with my heart and say that doesn’t happen and something else occurs that leads to Cena losing the match and title to Rhodes but both men stand tall united for John Cena’s last Summerslam which still doesn’t seem to be real to say.
Winner: Cody Rhodes #AndNew
