AEW Dynasty Predictions 2025

AEW Dynasty Predictions 2025

April 6, 2025 0 By Right Hook Ray

Tomorrow night is AEW Dynasty, where last year had some great matches on the show, setting the bar high for this year’s show. I have kept some tabs on AEW leading up to this PPV because it has left a lot to be desired, and I’m still maintaining some optimism instead of going for the jugular with criticism. So here are my predictions for tomorrow’s event that hopefully will revive some buzz with the promotion

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (Champion) vs. Swerve Strickland

Winner: Swerve Strickland #AndNew

Starting at the top, we have the AEW World Championship, where Jon Moxley’s “dominant” reign has been brutal to endure. Moxley and the Death Riders just have not worked at all, especially his title defenses. After defeating Adam Copeland (again, I will not call him Cope), thankfully, Swerve Strickland was next up. Hopefully, this means Strickland defeats Moxley, becoming the AEW world champion again, as well as sending Moxley on a much-needed vacation/break for an extended period to be forgotten, possibly missed, and, more importantly, refreshed.

AEW International Championship 3-Way Match: Kenny Omega (Champion) vs. Ricochet vs. Speedball Bailey

Winner: Kenny Omega retains

Kenny Omega back in the fold as International champion is a positive for AEW, and this 3-way match between him, Ricochet, and newest signing Speedball Bailey is precisely what that dedicated audience wants. Ricochet is finding his groove, potentially, and Bailey brings an interesting twist to the match, but I picked Omega to retain his title and see what’s next for him going into the summer.

AEW Women’s Championship: Toni Storm (Champion) vs. Megan Bayne

Winner: Toni Storm retains

Megan Bayne has been on a hot streak since debuting in AEW. There is something about Bayne that can be a star in this company, and this title match against Toni Storm is going to be the first test. Storm is clicking on all cylinders right now. Although I would love to go with the unexpected upset of Bayne becoming the new champion, I decided to stick with Storm retaining her championship, and this trend is expected to continue into the summer.

AEW Trios Championship: Death Riders (Champions) vs. Rated FTR

Winner: Death Riders retain

As much as I want this Death Riders to come to an end, Rated FTR is somehow worse for the trios’ championship. I feel for FTR, whom I no longer look forward to seeing as I used to (maybe challenging the Hurt Syndicate for the tag titles is on the horizon). However, everything Copeland has done recently has not been good. So, I picked the Death Riders to retain the titles where, hopefully, a new trio can challenge and defeat them down the line.

TNT Championship: Daniel Garcia (Champion) vs.  Adam Cole

Winner: Adam Cole #AndNew

I completely forgot who the TNT champion was until this past week, which is my fault. I have nothing against Daniel Garcia, who has potential, but Adam Cole as TNT champion would be better, especially with Double or Nothing and All-In Texas up next. I went with Cole to win the match and title, who needs some positive traction during his AEW tenure.

The Hurt Syndicate retains the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Big Bill and Brian Keith. The Hurt Syndicate is one of the positive and hot things going on with AEW at the moment, where, hopefully, more gold is coming their way.

Mercedes Mone defeats Julia Hart to advance in the Women’s Owen Hart tournament, setting up potentially a tournament final match against Athena that could be a solid match that can turn around Mone’s run in AEW with the fans.

Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher win their Owen Hart tournament matches, which is obviously the finals match for the men’s Owen Cup, where a rubber match of sorts can occur between them, probably at Double or Nothing VI? I did not, and will not, acknowledge Jericho’s match because it’s just awful (laughs). Hopefully, AEW Dynasty will be a good show for this promotion and kick this promising summer off on the right track.
