Monday Night Raw (6/24/24)

Uncle Howdy Interview
The uncle howdy VHS video was excellent, certainly love the attempt to mix real life into this but as much as I love Bray Wyatt and his work but how this will translate into the ring for matches and how the other members will be presented as well.

Hopefully, they do these VHS-like interviews with the other members as themselves and why they relate to the characters and the motivations. Wrestling is the only place where you can make some magic from a tragedy, but this has to be done differently and make them matter while avoiding the ruts they had with Bray’s last run.

Master in the Bank?
Chad Gable returning from last week’s destruction was all right, him getting into money in the bank match is something interesting along with the Alpha Academy situation that finally leads to Gable pairing with the Creeds and Ivy Nile to pair a new group to potentially help him when the briefcase.

Drew McIntyre’s plan
McIntyre’s plan after his attack on Punk last Friday certainly leaves a possibility for something to happen in the men’s MITB match, maybe Punk gets revenge by costing Drew the briefcase or ruin a potential cash-in. Regardless, hopefully this leads us to a potentially exciting match at Summerslam in August.

Liv Morgan and the Judgement Day
Monday was another good layer in the cracks developing in the Judgement Day and the Liv Morgan revenge tour. Morgan keeps working her way into the group to take everything away from Rhea Ripley, helping the other members like Finn and JD winning the tag titles, and certainly makes Priest look bad as far as keeping things together while Mami is out could lead to his exit from Judgement Day.

NXT (6/25/24)

Heating up Heatwave
Tuesday set up the 2 matches I was hoping would happen at NXT Heatwave with the 4-way match for the NXT title between Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Shawn Spears, and Ethan Page along with Wes Lee vs. Oba Femi for the NXT men’s North American title and Roxanne vs. Lola for the NXT women’s title certainly makes the card worth watching.

AEW Dynamite (6/26/24)

Forbidden Door
The go home show for Forbidden Door didn’t do much to rise my interest in it, other than the main event between Swerve and Ospreay, the chaotic ladder match to crown the new TNT champion, and potentially watch MJF, Zack Sabre Jr, and Danielson in their matches the show is underwhelming and just seems thrown together.

Chances are I will not do any reviews or predictions on it so apologies in advance. Once again it is not our job as fans to do research on these wrestlers we never heard of from other places, it is the job of Tony Khan or creative which they have not done here. Also, it is not much of a “forbidden door” when one side of that door takes the bulk of the talent from the other side. But I guess this show is for delusional “sickos” anyway, right?

Friday Night Smackdown (6/28/24)

Cody & Friends vs. Solo’s Bloodline
The all out brawl that occurred with Solo’s Bloodline against Cody, Orton, and Owens was good especially in MSG. Aldis having Rhodes, Owens, and Orton escorted out by NYPD was a good touch and probably should of told us what was to come at the end of the night.

Women’s MITB Qualifiers
Tiffany Stratton and Naomi winning their qualifying matches to get into the money in the bank match next weekend certainly adds some excitement to the match where it may be Tiffy time or feel the glow in Toronto.

Best of Both Worlds
Basketball and Pro Wrestling are my two favorite sports so having both worlds collide Friday night when Pacers Tyrese Haliburton and Knicks hero Jalen Brunson got involved during the men’s MITB match that involved LA Knight (YEAH!) and Logan Paul.

That gave us a fun moment and nice to see the acknowledge of other things going on in the sports world when it calls for it, Knight winning hopefully sets up a match with Paul at Summerslam but should expect some chaos from Paul next Saturday.

The Bloodline Acknowledgement Ceremony
Now to the big event of the show, a Bloodline acknowledgment ceremony for Solo Sikoa as the new tribal chief. Before things get started Solo introduces his new enforcer and member of the bloodline Jacob Fatu. Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu then acknowledge Sikoa which left only the wiseman Paul Heyman to do the same. But being emotionally toward what to say Heyman tells him he loves him, but he is NOT his tribal chief!

The crowd erupts only for Solo to spike Heyman setting up for a splash from Fatu and for good measure Solo’s bloodline put Heyman through the announce table with a shield triple powerbomb. After that Jacob Fatu grabs the Ula Fala and puts it around Solo’s neck and the show ends with Solo’s Bloodline standing tall over Heyman.

The Bloodline story just got more interesting and leaves the obvious question of when we will Roman Reigns return and set things straight? Hopefully, that happens at money in the bank especially if Solo and company have a match next weekend, but another exciting Smackdown to end a safe but solid week in wrestling.
