Clash at the Castle: Scotland Review

Saturday was WWE Clash at the Castle from Scotland which was a good show that had an unexpected ending to the main event that carried over all weekend and hopefully sets up for something big for Summerslam, so here is what I liked, and I disliked about the event with my rating for the show overall.

What I Liked
These international PPV/PLE crowds are just crazy I like it and hope it sticks around; Scotland was an insane crowd this weekend always a nice thing to see for pro wrestling that it is awesome.

Having Fyre & Dawn win the titles in a homecoming was a nice moment and shocking result, especially following the tragic news with Alba Fyre’s family was just nice and wholesome moment for her and Dawn as a team.

Drew McIntyre’s entrance was insane, love when people get to wrestle in front of their home crowd. The main event was a great match especially for Priest first main event title defense, Punk coming out as the referee was excellent, Drew’s reaction and the ending taking the life out of crowd was done well.

What I Disliked
The ending of the I Quit match for the WWE undisputed title was little bit anti-climactic but a good match obviously, but the ending fell short for some fans I’m sure but only the real nitpick for the show unless you want to carry on about the rope’s situation all show.

Bianca and Jade losing the tag titles sucks but, hopefully leads to some interesting stuff this summer between them or the women’s tag division and also wasn’t the best outing for Jade Cargill but is part of her development in WWE.

Chad Gable not winning the IC title was a letdown which leaves you asking what is next for him? Also, no Creeds or Ivy Nile to finally form Alpha Academy 2.0 and replace the current Alpha Academy felt like a missed opportunity.

Overall Right Hook Rating: 7.5/10

Clash at the Castle was a fun show with good opener and main event, the women’s matches were not bad but could have been better, Gable and Zayn never can have a bad match but would been nice if Gable won somehow, but the main event and Punk’s surprise appearance at the end made up the bulk of the rating which was a good show.
