2/10/2025 Raw & 2/11/2025 NXT Review

2/10/2025 Raw & 2/11/2025 NXT Review

February 13, 2025 0 By Right Hook Ray

I’m trying something different by splitting up the reviews, so here is my review for Monday Night Raw and NXT. The shows may have been middle of the road, but some surprises saved them in the end.

Monday Night Raw 2/10/2025

Jey Uso picking Gunther for his Wrestlemania match wasn’t a complete surprise, but that segment was good. Gunther pummeling Jey during his entrance and saying to Jey Uso, “He’s in for 10 weeks of hell,” makes this a bit interesting. I know there is some “Yeet fatigue” with some fans, but this could be a good old-fashioned build-up to their title match at Mania.

The fans’ reaction to AJ Styles was awesome. Styles can elevate anything he’s involved in, and Dom’s interruption of him was just right. But if Styles and Breakker at Wrestlemania are happening, then sign me up!

Roxanne Perez calling her shot on Raw was good. This feels like she is getting a chance to show how good she is and make a splash on the main roster. Also, the confrontation between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor was surprising. If this leads to another match, it’s going to be exciting. Will we get the return of the Demon? I hope so.

Logan Paul beating Rey Mysterio was expected. He is good in the ring when he faces a ring veteran. Punk’s not knowing who was coming out during his promo was funny, but Paul in Chamber certainly promises us an insane moment in that match.

NXT 2/11/2025

Tuesday night was an off night for NXT. ZAIRA vs. Nikkita Lyons was a downer, raising real questions about Lyons’s potential. Bayley and Cora Jade were okay. Jade obviously still needs in-ring development. Putting her in that NXT Women’s title match this weekend to make it a four-way stacks the odds against Giulia but likely won’t lead to an upset alert.

The Heritage Cup match between Lexis King and JDC just seemed odd. Although it was more traditional than the standard Heritage Cup match rules, it seems like Lexis King can’t shake the cloud of bad luck that has followed him.

This weekend could end A-Town Down Under, and it is about time! Hopefully, at Vengeance Day, after Oba Femi retains the title, Waller and Theory will split, giving a much-needed second chance to Austin Theory’s singles career.

Finally, one of the things I hoped would happen in 2025 happened. Ricky Starks showed up and is finally free! Starks’ joining NXT will be excellent, and his first there felt like a bigger deal than he ever did at AEW. After months of being held captive and sent home, Starks was released and appeared in NXT. This was the best thing to salvage a disappointing episode with this surprise. I can’t wait to see his revolution be televised.
